Endorsements
To graduate with an endorsement, a student must:
Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 74, Subchapter B, Graduation Requirements, 74.13 Endorsements describes each endorsement's requirements. Each school district follows the requirements outlined and determines a coherent sequence of courses for an endorsement area.
There are five endorsements, and three of them include computer science courses.

- Specify upon entering the 9th grade which endorsement he or she wants to earn. The student is allowed to enroll in courses outside of the specified endorsement program before the student's 11th grade year. The student can change his or her endorsement selection at any time.
- Complete the 22 credits required by the Foundation High School Program and earn four more credits, for a total of 26 credits:
- Earn a fourth Mathematics credit from a list of approved courses. This list includes AP Computer Science (126.62), Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science (126.37), and Robotics Programming and Design (126.37).
- Earn a fourth Science credit from a list of approved courses
- Earn two additional elective credits
